THE DATA RECOVERY PROCEDURES

DATA,a word generally and regularly used in the professional scenario of our lives.Data, basically is defined as the values of qualitative or quantitative variables, belonging to a set of items generally of the same type. This data is an essential component of our professional and personal lives. But,this data becomes slightly more significant in our professional lives. The interpreted, formulated and structured data is valuable in the professional gallery of lives. Thus, securing the data from certain vulnerable probabilities of destruction is essential. The data can be secured by taking certain recovery measures like creating the back up,etc....

With such importance of data in our lives,it is necessary to know some recovery procedures as it helps us to carryout our day to day administration more efficiently and effectively.Generally, data recovery can be described as a process of accumulating valuable and useful data from damaged, failed, corrupted secondary storage media.

DATA recovery in case of physical damage and the logical damage

There are basically two types of damages, one being the physical damage in nature and the other being the logical damage.Physical damage includes the external damages and is linked with the hardware and the logical damage on the other hand comprises of a situation wherein the error is not due to the hardware and software level solutions are required to solve them.
In the physical once, most of the damage can be repaired by replacing the parts of the hard disk itself. This alone allows the user to use the disk. But, in the case of logical damage, a specialized disk imaging procedures is used to recover the readable bit from the surface. This once done, saved in a reliable medium, and safe analyzation of the image can help in the construction of the original file system.

DATA recovery in case of damage in PARTITION TABLE,FILE SYSTEMS OR MEDIA ERRORS
Here, a part of data is recovered by repairing the damaged partition table or file system using specialized data recovery software like the 'TESTDISK'. And the Software like the 'dd_rescue' can image, the media and raw data in spite of certain intermittent errors caused due to the partition table or file system damage.

IN case of OVERWRITTEN DATA

Generally, it is extremely difficult to trace out old data when in the Hard Disk .But,the Solid State Drives[SSD], overwrites data in a different way when compared to the hard disk drives which makes a part of the data easier to recover. This is due to the flash memory used to store data in pages and blocks, which are referenced by the logical block addresses (LBA) and are managed by the flash translation layer (FTL). When a data is entered, the FTL modifies a sector, and writes the new data in to another location and updates the map so that the new data appears at the target LBA.

These above methods are extremely simple methods of data recovery as they do not require any special tools or any expert intervention. These methods can certainly provide a secure feeling to the user about his data. These are extremely economic and viable too which prevent data loss and reduce the recovery cost also...

VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL

VOIP basically are the communication protocols,technologies,etc.., which are involved in the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over internet protocols, such as the internet. The VOIP has been in a process of improvement and today has become quite effective and useful in our personal and professional lives.Early VOIP providers offered business models that were a reflection of the architecture of the legacy telephone network.Later the second generation providers such as the 'SKYPE' had built closed networks for private user bases which offered the benefit of free calls and convenience. But, the biggest disadvantage in this protocol is the inability to call out to the other networks. While the third generation, such as the 'google talk' have adopted the concept of federated VOIP.This concept is completely different from the first generation and has completely stopped the architecture of the legacy networks coming in to play.

Today, VOIP is being used regularly by the telecommunication providers as they use VOIP telephony technology over the dedicated and Public Internet Protocol networks for connecting the switching centers and also to connect the other telephony network providers with themselves. This is also called as the Internet Protocol 'back haul'..

Certainly there are more advantages over the disadvantages of this VOIP that it has come into use.Few advantages can be identified as below:
1.The arbitrary and dynamic interconnection between any two domains is made possible whenever, the user is willing to place a call.
2.VOIP is available in the smart phones and internet devices.Using this facility, the users of portable devices that do not have the calling and messaging facilities can make calls or send text messages over 3G or Wi-Fi conveniently.
3.Due to the bandwidth efficiency, the VOIP can provide its services to the business houses at a very low cost. This has prompted the businesses to shift from the old copper wire telephone systems to VOIP to save their monthly expenditure on the phone costs.

4. VOIP enables the user to run both voice and data communications on a single network, which significantly reduces the infrastructure costs.
5.The price of extension is relatively cheaper when compared to the PBX.The VOIP switches may run on the hardware like the PC's or the Linux systems. They rely on standard interfaces rather than closed architectures.
6.The VOIP has summed the communication services that visualize all the communication means such as the phone calls,fax,voice-mails,web conferences,e-mail,etc...., as non-similar and different units that can all be delivered by any means and to gadgets, including the cellphones.
7.VOIP consists of simple and intuitive user interfaces, this allows the user to make simple configuration adjustments and changes.Maintenance becomes easier as there are not many devices to look after.
8.The second generation VOIP like the 'SKYPE' has also begun to target the business houses by providing the facility of free connections between the users on the their network.
9.The international calls using VOIP do not cost much.
10.In addition to this, the true VOIP enables subscribers to call one another at zero cost.
11.This VOIP, restricts the need for separate voice and data networks as the phone calls are routed over the existing data networks itself.
12.Finally,its ability to accommodate more than one telephone call in a single broadband connection.

With over a dozen uses of this VOIP,It has become one of most irresistible connecting protocol all over the globe. The cost efficiency has attracted the business houses to it.

How to increase the speed of your PC

A PC or personal computer is a device consisting of CPU (Consisting of Mother Board, Processor, Hard Disk Drive, and RAM), monitor, keyboard etc. has become an essential part of modern technology. There might be better versions like the laptop, notebook etc but the Personal Computer still has its share.

Many a times the performance and speed of the PC may come down due to various reasons like installing new programs and games. Virus and spy ware attack the PC due to regular surfing of the net, checking mails and downloading .Spy ware will take up memory and system time. This is the cause of most people’s computers losing speed.

To speed up the performance of the PC certain guidelines need to be followed regularly.

Clean Duplicates: Checking for duplication of files and deleting the unwanted files too go a long way in speeding up the PC’s speed. Removing temporary Internet files, deleting downloaded files which are no longer needed, emptying the recycle bin often are shown to increase the performance of the PC. Removing unused restore points and shadow copies from the System Restore.

Defragmentation: Clean up the computer by performing “defragmentation” so that all the files shall be put in a sequential order. Installation of designated programs designed to speed up the PC’s performance as listed in the “Resources” section.

RAM Clean:
Not having enough RAM can cause the computer programs to run slow and even fail to load. Upgrading of the RAM space too increases the speed of the computer.

Error Check: Detecting and repairing disk errors to check the integrity of the files stored on the hard disk by running the Error Checking Utility.

Upgrading: Upgrading to the latest version of technology from time to time too goes a long way in determining the pc’s speed up performance.
